Many people do not realise that travelling to the States does not require a visa; it is operated by what is known as the Visa Waiver Scheme. As long as you have a new and machine readable passport you will be fine.

Fascinating Excursions

Shore excursions are offered throughout the cruises at a variety of different ports.

NCL offer a wide selection of excursions from safaris, helicopter rides and volcano hikes to biking, dolphin encounters and kayaking.

There are plenty of peaceful shore excursions offered as well including shopping, walking and sightseeing.

Most shore excursions cost a little extra but despite this they are well worth it.

The NCL Fleet

Norwegian Cruise Line has a fleet of reasonably young ships with the eldest of the current fleet being Norwegian Dream who entered service for NCL in 1992.

NCL has a fleet of 12 ships which includes Pride of America who operates for NCL America.

The newest member of the fleet is Norwegian Jade who entered service for the cruise line in 2008.

The other 9 ships in the fleet include Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Pearl, Norwegian Sky, Norwegian Sun, Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Majesty, Norwegian Star, Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Jewel.

Within the modern fleet guests will find up to a total of 13 restaurants onboard, up to 10 bars and lounges, bowling alleys and Nintendo Wii.
